I've used Norton Antivirus for years, and it's been great at keeping my devices safe. It’s easy to set up and simple to use. Norton protects against all sorts of threats like viruses, malware, phishing and has build in VPN. VPN is sometime slow for some counties but overall sufficient to my needs. It updates regularly, so I feel confident it’s catching new risks. One thing I like is that it doesn’t slow down my computer while working in the background which was the case in the past. Overall, it’s reliable, efficient, and gives me peace of mind. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for strong antivirus protection.

    I'm old enough to remember the excellent Norton utilities, which mutated from a small, fast suite of MS DOS tools into a bloated, resource-hungry mess. Likewise, Norton Antivrirus was, not too long ago, a bit of a resource-hungry monster that could slow down a PC almost as much as the viruses it was supposed to be protecting you from.

    That, my friend is history.

    Norton 360 is excellent. Not only do you get first-class virus protection, you also get dark web monitoring to tell you if your personal details are being sold on the dark web, you get a fast VPN (I mean really fast, I've had VPN speeds of over 100mbps on my 200mbps Virgin broadband), cloud backup (just enough for Windows, but not enough for a load of installed games/software, so I don't use it.), a password manager, and parental controls.

    Frankly, it's worth the cost just for the VPN: 12 months fast VPN for 5 devices for £15? What sorcery is this?! (And yes, the Virus protection and VPN works on my Android phone and tablet).

    The downside? Installation is fairly simple, but unintuitive, and for the financially paranoid (like me) a bit harrowing. I don't like having to give my financial details to install software, but I found I did with Norton 360, even though I'd bought it from Amazon. Happily, it's easy to cancel the auto-renew, but it's a bit messy and Norton should do better. It's even messier if you're upgrading from an older version of Norton Security Deluxe, as it's not just a simple install, you have to completely clear off the old software and it's not intuitive or particularly quick.

    But for a fresh install, this is great! I was a died in the wool AVG user, but I'm on my third year of Norton now, (2nd year of Norton 360) and I'm loving it. Unreservedly recommended, but you may need a little tech support.

    I have been using this security for a couple of months now and overall, I am quite pleased with the product. The security is good and I feel it protects my device well. The program on both my computer and mobile phone is easy to set up, use and maintain. When I first started using this product I did I have to input my banking details which is something I did not want to do, nor did I think was necessary however, I had no choice but to do it in order to use the product. I have been able to turn off automatic renewal so hopefully, I will not be charged for a subscription when this current one comes to its end. One massive issue that I do have with this product is the VPN that comes with it. Firstly, it was working fine on my computer for the first couple of weeks but now, it will no longer connect. Secondly, I have recently purchased a new phone and immediately had issues with disconnecting from the WiFi. I am quite tech savvy and after a lot of investigating, my conclusions is that the VPN was causing the issue. I booted the phone in safe mode and deleted the VPN and have not had any issues since. Overall, I do like this product and I think it is decent for the price however, if the use of a VPN is important to you then I would not recommend this. The product has good advantages, but it does also have some big pitfulls.

    Norton 360 Deluxe sold on Amazon is not the exact same as what is being sold on Norton website. Some features are being held back to make it cheaper, but that information is not disclosed clearly here. Examples specifically highlighted to me by Norton support are

    "Once you go ahead with any purchase or renewal from the official Norton website, you get certain benefits with your subscription such as:

    60 days refund policy wherein the user can contact the Norton support to get the full refund for the purchase or renewal.

    The global activation benefit wherein you can activate and use the subscription globally anywhere in the world unlike the retail purchase which are bounded by the region.

    You get the hands on experience with the VPP (Virus Protection Promise with our virus removal and assurance team). This dedicated team can help you remove any virus from your device without any additional cost."

    Beware of missing features! Might be worth paying full price on Norton website if these are important to you.
